1. George Washington's Socks by Elvira Woodruff
2. Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson
3. The Face on the Milk Carton by Caroline B. Cooney
4. Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech
5. Don't You Dare Read This by Mrs. Dunphrey by Margaret Peterson Haddix
6. Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levin
7. The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
8. Cleopatra VII: Daughter of the Nile by Kristiana Gregory
9. Frindle by Andrew Clements
10. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis
The Chronicles of Narnia were on my list! Have you read all of the books in that series?

I love the Secret Garden and Ella Enchanted movies so much, but I've not read the books! I think I'm worried I'll be disappointed.

I'd never heard of Don't You Dare Read This, but I like the title! I also want to read it, because I'm a rebel and you can't tell me what to do. ;)

You did pick a lot of great books! I loved The Face On The Milk Carton and its sequels (though I skipped the last one because the timeline was all out of whack), and Don't You Dare Read This Mrs. Dunphrey not only made the list of "top 100 books ever" that I wrote in high school, I still love it to this day. It's such a powerful story.
