Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
1. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare - this book introduced me to good YA fiction, and I have never looked back!
2. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead - this was another original YA book for me, and it helped me recognize my own experiences with depression
3. Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan - I DEVOURED these books in about fourth grade. These helped inspire and inform my love of ancient Greek and Egyptian worlds!
4. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas - I love this world. I love the characters and I can't wait for the final book next year!
5. A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas - While I loved so many aspects about this book, one of the main ones was the realistic depiction of depression in the main character.
6. Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier - I discovered this series in middle school, and it stuck with me for a long time
7. Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi - I loved the writing style of this book
8. The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot - This introduced me to interesting biography and non-fiction!
9. Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins - This was another of my favorites in middle school
10. Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini - this was one of the first series' that I was OBSESSED with
