THIS BOOK WAS BLEEPING AMAZING!!!! I loved it SO much! A beautiful conclusion to the Embrace series! Also, I REALLY hate Amazon/UPS right now. They took THREE extra days to deliver when I had preorder guarantee. Grr... Anyways, Empower was amazing! If you haven't already, you must read the rest of the books! This review will probably contain spoilers for previous installment in the series.

So, Empower was released in Australia back in November. I was SO not happy. But, I was willing to wait. And I waited. For what felt like forever. And this book was worth it. The Embrace series was a new way of telling angel/demon stories, and I really liked it. I had many things I expected/hoped would happen in this book, which didn't, but what did happen was equally interesting.

The main character is Violet Eden. I have heard her accused of being whiney (mainly by my mother), and while she can be at times, she always realizes it and mentally slaps herself. Violet is KICK-BUTT! There is nothing that girl can't do. Whenever she falls in a fight, I find myself surprised. And it makes sense, Violet was almost assaulted as a child, and has fought to protect herself ever since. Violet has a great sense of humor and I love being in her head!

Thankfully, the relationship stuff was more or less resolved fairly quickly. Not all the nitty gritty details, but the big stuff. I'm still sad that my ship sunk, but I do support how the romance ended up. Also, I kinda knew that was coming, sadly. The plot was fast, and I flew through this book. An all-around wonderful story that was a spectacular conclusion to a beautiful series! A definite five stars!

  1. Great review! I need to read this series. Did you manage to get your hands on Between The Lives (One Past Midnight) yet?
